Before we get started, let me apologise for missing last month. For those of you who have been following this feature you will know that I have not missed a month before. I have had a few messages asking what happened to the podcast. The truth is that I have been busy at work - not much of an excuse but hey!
Well the wait is over & boy do I have a mix worthy of your attention. As you may have noticed in the title, this mix is one of two that I am uploading for your aural pleaseure this month.
Vol.1 is from a very hard working DJ who I have featured before: Jay Russell. If you caught the couple of mixes from Jay which I have featured, you will know that Jay does not hold back when it comes to Deep Soulful House. No commercial beats & certainly no fillers!
With Christmas around the corner, let these two mixes be my gift to you. You are probably speed reading this now keen to get to the music. So don't let me hold you up.

Hey Yo! It's October pretending to be early September & long may it continue. Musically, things have changed in clubland - Soulmates is no more, UK Funky has taken a stranglehold & Deep Soulful House is where it should be, deep in the Underground.
I have a special treat for you this month in the form of the mix you are about to listen to. DJ Disciple has been a stalwart of the NYC House scene for what seems like forever. I was lucky enough to see him when he played an intimate gig at Herbal in London earlier this year. If I'm honest it was probably the best party I attended this year. Musically & for sheer energy & atmosphere this party had it all. What a night!
This mix is on par with the selection he threw down that night. Deep, Soulful House, lots of uplifting vocals. I actually downloaded this mix a couple of months ago & I guess it's time to share the love.

What's up y'all - it's September ( my birth month ) & it's all good. The summer has all but ended,the nights are drawing in & the Deep beats just keep rolling. Last month, a sad event happened, London no longer has its premier Deep Soulful House monthly party. Yes my friends, Soulmates have closed its doors for the last time. It was the only party I attended on a regular basis & I loved it.But hey,the memories live on. We'll see what happens next.
Enough of the R.I.P & on with the music.

This month we move back to London,England with a very cool mix from a good friend of mine, DJ Dante.
Dante has been plying his trade on the underground circuit for quite a while now playing nothing but the deepest of Deep House, Afro Soul & Jazzy/Latin inspired beats.He is one of the few DJ's I know who only plays vinyl. A true testiment to his dedication & attention to detail. He also runs a website dedicated to deep music called www.offthemeters.com. You know what to do!
This mix has been on heavy rotation on my iPod since he gave it to me hot out of the oven last month. I'm actually listening to the mix as I write this. Dante, we salute you!
I could go on & on but I'm sure you just want to get to the music & to be really honest, I don't blame you!

Its been a month since we last got Deep & Soulful but I'm back with another hot mix. Did you enjoy last month's offering? Judging ny the amount of downloads, Energy Soul touched the right spot. This month I go to Portugal again for another great mix from Soulful Joao. He is fast becoming a favourite on the I Download rosta. This another one of those mixes which will have you reaching for the rewind button. Classy Deep Soulful House as you've come to expect.
I have been asked to feature some UK Funky mixes by some misguided folk. To set the record straight, this is a UK Funky free zone! Enough said!!!
This month also sees that annual street festival in West London. If you are going,the only place you will catch me & a few thousand House Heads will be KCC. They play mostly US House but it's always lively.Lets hope we get a great couple of days weather wise.

This month we skip to the Med with a mix from A DJ with some flair for Deep Soulful House. His name is almost unpronouncable but DJ's under the banner of Energy Soul.
Not too much of a write up as I'll let the music dothe talking.

It's June & we are in the middle of our annual 2 day heatwave. It's all good! Last month proved to be very productive with over 300 downloads of Jay Russell's mix. Thank you all.I have to send a quick mention to my new international Fam,l thanks for reaching out. To answer one of many questions in my inbox, no, I am not a DJ! I just love Deep Soulful House & I like sharing the music I have downloaded - as simple as that!
This month the pressure continues with a mix from a DJ I have featured a few times before. Why? Because his mixes never fail to hit the right spot. The DJ in question is Soulful Joao from Portugal. Having downloaded some previous Joao mixes, I can say that this mix is more of the same - quality Deep Soulful House.
